It is a beautiful version of the song, with many passionate people, all singing about love, and they are Israeli. Hope, people want to feel love, be loved, love...\u00a0 I see it in every expression of the song, even the crazy sports renditions speak of tribalism, but that is my story, my context.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-1457-0-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-1457-0-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"2\" ><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>\"Could this be Love\"<\/p>\n<p>A song written by Bob Marley in 1980, it is said that he wrote this song on a plane back home from Brazil, because he liked the vibe there and people were really crazy about him. Other sources say he wrote this song as a response to the poverty, depression and lack of education he saw around him. Whatever the origins, the song has been co-opted and re-contextualized for things like football, wrestling, cricket, a bunch of romantic comedies, video games and this rendiction by a group of Israeli musicians.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Could_You_Be_Loved\">http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Could_You_Be_Loved<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Does context matter? Yes, no, sometimes...<\/p>\n<p>Social morals are about context. For example, in the 1800's, it was ok to shoot at native Americans if they were in a group of 3 or more as it was considered a \"war party\". Events like Ferguson are all about contextual layers of meaning. Meaning and context evolve as we adapt socially to the differences between us.<\/p>\n<p>In a study done by Wolfgang R. K\u00f6hler, at Institute for Empirical Research in Economics<br \/>University of Zurich entitled <strong>Why does context matter? Attraction effects and<\/strong><br \/><strong>binary comparisons<\/strong> he states: \"Context effects arise because new alternatives affect how individuals weight and perceive attributes or because new alternatives make it easier to justify a decision.\"We are influenced by choice, information and distribution. Making context manipulable.<\/p>\n<p>This is extremely apparent in the way art transforms emotional meaning. The concept of love is a shared human art form. The original meaning becomes a universal connection of individual stories. Regardless of how far apart the context is from it's origins or other interpretations; the song connects us to our experiences and ideas of love. In the connection, there is the disconnection of context.<\/p>\n<p>Is this a good thing? Are we re-writing narratives or deepening the gap?
