Kate Hollett is a fine artist\/professor whose career has grown exponentially, paralleling her many successful years as an award-winning creative director. She works in multi-media including paint, video, video installation and most recently collaborative interdisciplinary multi media events and educational art.<\/p>

Hollett\u2019s academic background includes an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art, Goddard College, Vermont, USA, BA Psychology, York University, Graphic Design Degree, George Brown College, NFB Mentor Program in film, and Marketing studies at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada,.<\/p>

After a very successful career in Advertising and Design, including multiple awards for design excellence, Kate closed shop to become a full time artist showing, exhibiting and working all over the world including New York, NY, Paris, France, Barcelona, Spain, Italy, UK and select places in the US and Canada. Her paintings are part of many prestigious collections including patronage by Former President Bill Clinton and world-renowned installation artist Christo, as well as invitations for the Ambassador\u2019s Art prize in Belgium. Her video work has been featured at the LA Short Film Festival and won \u201cBest in Show\u201d at the Detroit International Art Video Festival. Her experimental social media work won her attention at Social Media Week where Kate was featured as one of the innovative social media artists in Europe.<\/p>

Kate has lectured at the Art Gallery of Ontario, OCAD, Queen\u2019s University, UK, Frei Universit\u00e4t, Humboldt University in Berlin and Leuphana University where she created an experimental multi-media course studying Love. Her work has been published in a study on art and science and is used in the study of emotional anthropology at Queen\u2019s University in the UK. Kate recently completed her first book entitled \u201cLove, Media, Art & Science and The Fiction of Relationships\u201d.<\/p>

In a curatorial role, Kate was responsible for NXNE (North by North East) Art Festival 2013, \u201cLetters for Literacy\u201d art fundraiser, MAYDAY art fashion event with Hugo Boss, and the Little Art Show in Toronto featuring over 150 artists.<\/p>

Kate splits her time between Toronto and Berlin where she has been working and lecturing.<\/p>
